Friends and Family Share Their Memories

Hi. I’m Andrew's sister Alison.
Andrew was a great family and party person. He like nothing more than to be surrounded by his friends and family and to be the host in his own home.  And was a fantastic host he was - always ensuring that everyone was having a good time, good music, good food and plenty to drink - glasses were never empty for long.

Andrew was diagnosed with cancer just after my father passed which was devastating news.

So Kate arranged for all ‘Cooke’ family to travel from UK to Ireland for Christmas. It was fantastic. All the nieces and nephews as well as myself and our elder brother plus partners were together for a very special and memorable few days. These are a few of the pictures from then.

Christmas 1

Although too large a gap in the middle part of our lives, Andrew remains my dearest lifetime friend. Without doubt his brilliant humour, sense of adventure and zest for life will have an everlasting impact on me and has helped to make me the man I am today.

As I embark on the same journey as Andrew with the same Exon 20 insertion, I just hope that I can muster the same strength and positivity that both Andrew and Kate continued with throughout.

I have included some of my fondest memories of our time together, starting with:

On the beach 16 yrs old and our first holiday without parents.

A night out after finishing High School.

Our first University Ball together, one of many!

Showing your bravery in Hawaii, flying with me
(the only pilot) in my little yellow plane.

The last two pics of us in Portugal after your diagnosis, what a wonderful time that was with our boys meeting for the first time.

Miss you my best friend,
_Mel Davy
