Carlissa M. Rodriquez
November 27, 1974 – January 31, 2010
Dedicated mother, daughter, sister and friend
On the day that you were born the angels got together and decided to create a dream come true...
On Sunday, January 31, 2010 our blessed Carlissa M. Rodriquez received her angel wings. She released her spirit, spreading her wings to soar to the heavens to dance with the angels.
Carlissa has touched many lives as she has taught us the true meaning of courage, love and strength while reminding us of the precious gift of life.
The Jewels of Carlissa's vibrant hazel eyes were and are her two beautiful sons: In 1994, on the September 4 was one of the most treasured days of her life, when she was blessed with her first precious gift her "BABY BOY" Jeffrey Steven Gonsalves Jr. Her heart was happy, full and content and four years later God blessed her again with her second precious gift her sweet Angel Jacintho Gonsalves. She was and will always be grateful for and very proud of her two most cherished gifts. She will always be with them, now she will be their personal angel, protecting, supporting, guiding and loving them in every way she can.
Carlissa was born to Sheila M. (Rodriquez) Edwards of Hyannis, MA and Carlos Rodriquez of Staten Island, NY 35 years ago at Cape Cod Hospital on a lovely November morning. She is the sunshine of her mother and her Pa Pa's heart and life. (Charles Edwards) also of Hyannis, MA.
Carlissa is the sister of light and love to sisters, Corina Angelina (Rodriquez) Lima, of Centerville, MA, Shawneen Lee (Rodriquez) Ng, of Norton, MA, Vanessa Marie Rodriquez, of Swansea, RI., Lyric Edwards of Hyannis, MA and brothers, Roman Joshua Edwards of Whitman, MA and Xavier Rodriquez of Staten Island, NY and brother in-law Michael L. Carlissa enjoyed sharing laughter and love, with her nephews Rikki D. Lima, Vincent Gomes, Mikey A. Ng and her nieces Exalia A. Gomes, Julia A. Ng and Aleah M. and Amaya M. Gomes, and she is loved by many cousins and extended family.
She is the niece of Henry P. Sylvia and Donna Sylvia of Arizona and the late John O. Mendoza of Marstons Mills, MA.
She is preceded by her grandfather Jacintho Mendoza and grandmother Angelina Mendoza of Acushnet, MA and grandfather Lino Mendes, of Marstons Mills, MA.
Carlissa was and is a free spirit who lived her life with zest and fearlessness savoring each adventure yearning for the next. Carlissa was a successful massage therapist, striving nursing student, with a thirst for knowledge and wisdom.
Carlissa you are like a shooting star, magnificent and amazing but gone too quickly…
A unique flower in the garden of life…

On November 27, 1974 a phenomenal woman was born, my amazing sister Carlissa Rodriquez. Throughout your 35 years of life you touched many lives, encouraging strength, vitality and love in others. It was wonderful to watch you, even in the final months of your life, touch so many lives and open many hearts just by emanating your love and light. You helped my heart to open more than I ever thought imaginable. Thank you for gifting me with your love and extraordinary presence. You've blessed my life in many ways. I am especially grateful for the final months we shared together. I now know what it feels like to love someone with every part of myself, truly UNCONDITIONALLY. You taught me to live in the present moment, appreciating every part of my life. For each day is a blessing. I will honor you today and always by appreciating my life while I remember yours. Thank you for sharing this life with me. I love you!
Love,
